Playing in the dirt!

Over the weekend B and I planted strawberries, tomatoes, basil, chives, and primrose. This is the first time we have even attempted to grow anything so I’m very excited and hoping they grow! Earlier Saturday morning we researched how to grow plants from seeds and which plants grow better in pots verses in flower beds. Hopefully we will be successful and have strawberries to eat in a few months!!!

This is a picture of the primrose. Isn't it beautiful?
What are your favorite things to grow? Do you have any special tricks or secrets for growing healthy plants??

  2. Wow...that is very 'green' of you. I have no desire to plant anything - so bad I know. Even though Mr Fix It keeps telling me I could plant stuff in our backyard...I know I would just kill it or give up. I don't have the patience to tend to stuff like that. It's a miracle my 15 year old has turned out pretty well :)

  3. You go girl! We want to plant a little garden but we'll probably wait too late and it'll be fall!

  4. I’m so terrible at planting and trying to grow things. Luckily I have neighbors that are willing to school me and a previous owner of our home that planted plenty of things in my little garden that grow each spring. I did plant some pansies, so I feel like I did something this year ;)

The primrose is beautiful and I cannot wait to hear about your fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers grow!
