DIY Ring Bearer Pillow/Advice

I found this at www.myDIYweddingday.com and I absolutely love it!
I'm now on a search to find green buttom mums. Does anyone know a website for discounted artificial flowers?

Green Button Mum Ring Bearer Pillow

Materials
1 in. thick artificial floral foam
clippers
knife
Green button mums
Black boutonniere pins
1 yd. of ½ in. ribbon
Faux rings

Bridesmaid Dresses:
I found the dresses at Davids Bridal and I'm going with the Watermelon Pink color. The watermelon color on Davids Bridal website looks so different then what the actual dresses look like. My colors are watermelon pink and lime green. Ahh... I just love them so much. Honestly, I really want to buy one of the dresses for myself!! Could I wear it to the rehearsal? or a bridal shower? Any suggestions?

  1. What a great idea for a ring pillow!!!

Ha, if you want the dress, you could get one for your shower...but maybe in a different color than what your girls will wear on wedding day! Lovely!!

  2. That is so gorg! I wonder if you could use fresh flowers if you couldn't find the faux ones?

  3. I say whatever makes you happy sweetie. It is your wedding celebration and you should wear what is lovely! Or like Ashley said, you could switch up the colors a tad bit. Fun ring idea!

  4. Very, very cute. Sorry but I don't know much about getting artificial flowers.
As for your question to me Brittany, we have pretty much decided on a taco bar which will include rice, beans, as many kinds of tacos as we'd like (5 to choose from, and 4-5 tacos per person)chips, salsa and 2 large containers of agua frescas. To feed 75-85 people for $520! Not bad huh? Then I figured I would just go to Sam's or Costco and get fresh fruit plates and such. I will also have other drinks that I will purchase on the side.

  6. That is so funny! That is exactly what I am doing for my ring bearer pillow! Only our ribbon on it will be an aqua/turquoise color to match our color scheme. I love the idea so much! Kermit mums are typically not too expensive...not sure when you're getting married, but look into the cost to just have a florist make this for you. It's not much at all for my wedding...like $40? Might be a bit more but what's your time worth? :)
