Good Time, Good Friends

What a wonderful weekend! Friday night one of my bridesmaids came in town to order her dress for the wedding. She brought along her boyfriend and we decided to make a party of it. After ordering her dress we all went to Toots and enjoyed fried pickles and wings. We all ended back at our house for an all nighter. Here are some pictures!

Valentines Day Clearance/Wedding Napkins

Hey you guys,

Yesterday I went to Walmart, while browsing through the Valentines Days clearance I ran across bright pink napkins. They were in packages of 25 marked down to $.75. They are exactly my color pink so I couldn't pass them up. I bought 9 packages and I think that will be plenty for the wedding reception. If I need too, I will alternate white within the pink. There is a local company who prints napkins so I might see about the pricing.

Also, I bought matching pink plates. They are small plates so we might use them at the cake table. They were also on clearance for the same price. A package of 25 for $.75. I'm not sure about them yet. If we don't use them for cake then we can use them for a shower.

I love finding good deals!

Valentines Plans

Valentines day is one of my favorite holidays. Although, we should share our love and do kind and thoughtful things for each other everyday, Valentines Days is a day you can truly dedicate the whole day to each other. No work, school, or errands! After basketball practice last night B brought home 2 tickets for the Sunday mattene to see the "Valentines Day" movie. I have been so excited about this!

After the movie instead of waiting in line at a restaurant for hours I have decided I would just cook a special meal. We have both been wanting shrimp so I thought I would make scrimp scampi, salad, and maybe a baked potato. I love to cook so I really don't mind.

I'm also VERY excited to give B his gift. He has been wanting the UK2K T-shirt since they came out but he won't spend $25 for a t-shirt. I can't blame him! However, Valentines Day is a special occasion so I thought I would spurge and get it for him. I can't wait to see his face. He would never think that I would think about getting it for him. I usually get him more practical gifts.

Super Bowl Sunday!

There is nothing I love more than hanging out with family and friends eating yummy food and gossiping with the girls while all the men hoot-n-holler about the game. It's a tradition that we go to Adam's house who is B's best childhood friend. This year is kind-of a big year for us. Adam hosted the party, as he always does however this year he bought his first house so this was the first time we had all been together there. Also, two of us will be getting married this year so there was a lot of talk about that. And... several (not including me) are college graduates and workers of the real world now! Lots of new and fun changes. And most importantly, I won 20 bucks filing out an annual "super bowl survey." Examples of questions are; "Which team will win the coin toss" and "Which team will get the first sack" and YES I WON. I have to admit is was completely luck. But shhh... I would NEVER admit that to B. haha
Needless-to-day, B was crushed Sunday due to the loss of his beloved Colts.
Hope you all are have a wonderful week :)

Life Unexpected

Has anyone been watching the seris "Life Unexpected?" Ahhh... It's so good!
Plot:
After spending all of her 15 years bouncing from one foster family to another in Portland, Oregon, Lux (Brittany Robertson) has decided it's time to take control of her life and become an emancipated minor. Her journey through the legal maze leads Lux to her biological father, 32-year-old Nate "Baze" Bazile (Kristoffer Polaha), who owns a bar, lives above it like an aging frat-boy with two slacker roommates, and is shocked to learn that he has a daughter. Lux is equally astonished when Baze reveals that her mother is Cate Cassidy (Shiri Appleby), a star on the local "Morning Madness" radio show along with her on-air partner and real-life boyfriend, Ryan Thomas (Kerr Smith). Lux has been listening to Cate's voice on the radio as long as she can remember, so she feels an instant connection with the mom she's never met. Baze takes Lux to meet Cate, who is shocked and saddened to learn that Lux has grown up in foster care instead of the adoption she believed would take place, and is reluctant to commit to her daughter. Eventually, Cate wants to be a part of Lux's life, and she shows she really does care. When a judge decides that Lux isn't ready for emancipation and unexpectedly grants temporary joint custody to Baze and Cate, they agree to try to get past the awkwardness and make a belated attempt to give Lux the family she deserves. Cate, due to her job as a radio host, and the fact that she has a suitable house, is given primary custody of Lux. Ryan also takes to Lux.

Accessories make an outfit!

I live by the motto; "Accessories make an outfit"
I wanted my wedding jewelry to be simple but yet classy. Nothing to flashy or gaudy. I have decided that I will be wearing white pearls. Just a single strand for both my necklace and my bracelet. My grandmother also wore pearls when she got married and I was ever so excited when she asked if I would like to wear her pearl earrings. Totally pumped!
